I don’t know about you guys, but we are ready for some sunshine this week! Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE (love love LOVE) storms! Nothing makes me happier than listening to the rain…the smell of rain (mmmmm!) the look of dramatic clouds, awesome lightning…ask me about the time we hung out on the roof of our house in college to watch a thunderstorm roll in! That was the coolest thing ever! However, there’s this thing that happens when you become a mom. It sucks the fun out of everything! :) Okay, I’m only kidding…but really, driving through St. Louis last night with Hailey in the car practically watching the clouds swirling in that nice little circular pattern above us was not cool. Tornadoes were being spotted all around us. Normally I would have been a happy girl to be around all the weather drama. But when you’ve got another little life you’re responsible for, the game totally changes. But we are very happy to be back safe and sound in our  nice little house and out of the crazy storms.

I just had to show you guys this little girl I had the honor of photographing. I know you will all agree with me when I say she is the definition of a classic beauty. Look at that smile! She was such a sweetheart and I loved hanging out with her! She was truly such a pleasure to photograph because she made it easy as pie.

This is what happens when you desperately want a photo of your daughter, and she desperately wants to watch Tinkerbell…you compromise and give her your husband’s sunglasses and take what you can get. :)

She’ll have a full post dedicated all to her after the weekend…but I know mom and dad are excited to see a little something from last night. We lucked out with some gorgeous weather! And the gorgeous little 1 year old didn’t hurt any ;) .

This is why I am the luckiest mom in the world…

First, because this beautiful little angel chose Justin and I to be her parents. And second because I have the amazing opportunity to be home with her each and every day and have mornings full of Tinkerbell, sippy cups, flashlight games and snuggles. More pictures from this morning to come soon….stay tuned ;)

Hi all! I hope this week is treating everyone fabulously! I have completely neglected this blog lately ~ still catching up from the busy busy holiday rush. Things are slowly calming down around here…just in time for the holidays ;) . I have so much in the works for 2010 and am so excited to begin working on these projects over the winter! But for right now I am taking a small break. We will be spending a lot of time visiting with family, fixing up some things around the house, and enjoying our second Christmas with our beautiful baby girl.

So I hope to come back next week feeling refreshed and ready to face the holidays head on…I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with yummy food, loving family and elastic pants ;) .

And because, as they say, a post is not a post without an image :) . Is it normal for a 17 month old girl to be completely obsessed with shoes (especially my heels), makeup and boys? I have no idea where she gets it from ;) …but she’s literally obsessed…I’m sure I’ll  blog about that later.

These two are just precious. They are as good of friends as less than 2 year olds can be. Meet our neighbor little B. He is adorable. Last week we got to play with little B on the farm. We got to see all sorts of cool stuff like sheep and tractors and kitties…fun times. Little B is the boy next door and Hailey is the girl next door and together they are just too cute for words :) . Usually my baby girl doesn’t come with  me on shoots, but circumstances required it and B’s mom and dad didn’t mind since we just love oohing and aahing over them together ;) .

Just a quick little sneaky peek for mom and dad to tide them over until I can get their gallery up. Enjoy!

This is why I love my “job”. I got to spend a gorgeous fall Sunday afternoon with this incredible family. Mom, dad, the girls and grandma and grandpa  joined me in my favorite field to play in the leaves, search for horses and chase grandpa around a tree. Does it get any better than that? I mean really?

I just have to say I adore this little girl! She was the happiest, most care free kiddo! And, at completely random times she would let out this adorable scream as if she was so excited and happy she just couldn’t stand it. Love it!

This is one lucky daddy…he’s got two gorgeous baby girls and a beautiful wife.

What a busy weekend! Hailey’s second Halloween (her mama’s FAVORITE holiday ever!) This year she actually got to participate a little more. Last year she was only a few months old for the festivities. We drove all over the state on Saturday coming home from spending the night at a friend’s house for his birthday, stopping along the way home to show off our little girl in her adorable lady bug costume! Since we live an hour and a half from our closest relative, we won’t have many chances to show her off to family on Halloween, so we took advantage of this opportunity. Here we are at aunt Kristi’s house sneaking in some pictures with some of the cousins before running off to the next stop.

I don’t care what anyone says…she wins the cutest lady bug ever award!

And the adorable Mr. Tyler in his fireman costume! Check out the kick a$$ boots in the picture after this one! How cute are those?!?

I love how they’re all looking at each other like “What the heck happened to you?”

Check out aunt Kristi in the reflection! She is awesome at getting these guys to smile :)

With 2 17 month olds, we’re lucky to have gotten a shot of them both looking in the same direction…I’m ok with the fact that it wasn’t actually at me. Look at these cute trick-or-treaters!!

This session marks the end of one crazy busy week! But I loved every minute of it. I’m so sorry this sneak peek took so long guys…I am so far behind!

This family was a dream. Mom and dad both had ideas in mind and I absolutley love it when the clients get in on the planning of the session! Aside from a major attack of Japanese Beetles at one location, this was a perfect evening. (ps…I found one of those Japanese Beetles in my SHIRT on the way home! ICK!)

These two are the incredibly gorgeous parents of the two adorable boys in this session. Such a sweet couple.

I just love getting these shots.

Part of the session took place at great grandma’s farm so we had to get her in a few pictures. It is so sweet how this little guy loves his great granny…too adorable.

Whew! These girls have some energy! Props to mom and dad for keeping up with them on a daily basis :) . But these are two of the most adorable and gorgeous girls I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I have to put a disclaimer in here and say that I know I’m being a bad photog blogger and posting a ton of pictures, but this session was so fun, I just can’t help myself!

We started out the session with some fun, friendly leaf throwing fights.

And then we tried to sit down for a family picture…she wasn’t up for that…but I love this shot!

Then we had to take a minute to freshen up. Mom is mainly a fan of color photos, but black and whites just have a special place in my heart, and these screamed out to me to be black and whites…but don’t worry mom, I have the color versions just for you :) .

I had so much fun with this family on Monday! Mom and dad were excellent sports wrestling with the girls on the somewhat still damp ground, and these girls had me laughing the whole time. Can’t wait to show you your gallery!
