As it is for many people, winter is my down time. Beginning right before Christmas and going until usually April or so, people are just not thinking about photo shoots. And I can’t blame them. The weather is icky (usually…what is up with this weather lately?!), they’re trying to unwind from the Christmas craziness, and life in general is just not as conducive to taking photos.

Or so they think :) .

I love winter photo shoots because I am forced to think differently. Even with the warm weather lately, it was still a bit too chilly for this little guy this morning. We tried spending some time out by his parents’ beautiful pond, but the wind was just too much for a 3 month old. So we headed back inside to warm up and just spend some time playing. I loved it.

I have a question. Where the heck are all the girls?! I haven’t gotten to photograph a little girl (besides my own) in forever! Come on folks…I need a pink fix.

However, this little man is adorable enough to make up for it. To see these two grow into parents and fall completely in love with their brand new baby is the greatest honor. Love this little guy to pieces.

I mean…the things we do to these kids at my sessions…gee whiz. Had fun with you guys this morning. Thankfully, we evaded the snake.

It was just a tad warm this morning (85 degrees at 8am…ugh). This little man is very considerate though, he cooled me off with his watering can ;) . And then we got popsicles. Can. not. believe he is 3. Happy birthday Tyler!

…but we pulled it off. On this shoot I was blessed with the presence of two toddlers (one of them being my own) and a 6 month old. Yay! Luckily, as  both a mom and a photographer I am always armed with juice boxes, golfish crackers and a vast array of random toys that will keep the craziest of toddlers busy. Add in grandma and we were good to go. I absolutely adore this little boy.

Remember this little guy? He is growing up far too quickly. Now six months old, he is sitting up like a champ and about two minutes away from his first crawl. There’s nothing like a baby to  make you realize just how fast time goes by. Love you B!

I seem to be drawn to them at every newborn/baby session. They’re just so flippin cute! I can’t help it.

These are some more shots from our model time at the PinkleToes workshop. We got a few hours to work with all of the models on our own, which was great. This poor little guy though…I was lucky to get him first…it was a long three hours for him :) . He was a trooper though!

Sorry, I really just couldn’t resist posting another one from Sunday’s session. Much love.

I just absolutely adore this family. When I arrived yesterday morning, baby girl was just waking up. Lucky for me because baby + bed head + jammies + yummy bedroom light = happy Stacy.

Side note: we start the move tomorrow!! I cannot even believe it’s happening. It feels like it’s all happened so quickly, it just hasn’t hit me yet. You all have no idea how much I appreciate your patience through the holiday session season and this big move. I have the greatest clients. Much love!
