fall mini session sneaks | Peoria Illinois family photographer
Posted on October 20, 2010
It’s been pretty quiet on the blog lately, but far from quiet around here. Fall is a fabulous time for photos! And eeeeeveryone thinks so. Busy busy busy! But I love it. Just wish it didn’t coincide with the selling/buying of a home, and while we’re at it, let’s throw a vacation in there. Why not.
But like I said, I love it
. Here’s a little teaser for one of my mini session clients from this weekend. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I. love. sunrise. sessions. So, suck it up, set your alarm, and wake up with me for a 7:30 session. I dare you.
Aaaaand. You’ll finally get to see some more of us on the blog soon! We are heading out to meet the most amazing photographer ever ~ Michele Anderson ~ this week for some long overdue famil photos. As soon as I am able I will share with you!! See? Even I think this is a great time for family photos!
Oh Lord.
is it January yet? | Peoria IL family photographer
Posted on October 17, 2010
Cause I think it will be January before I can breathe again. I gotta tell you, October may be the worst possible time to move. For us photogs, busy doesn’t even come close to describing it. Photo shoots almost daily, attempting to keep the house sparkly clean with a 2 year old running around, house hunting…I would like to formally apologize to anyone I come into contact with over the next three weeks. I am very much not responsible for anything that comes out of my mouth. Also, you probably shouldn’t trust me to remember anything. Because it’s not likely to happen.
On another note…is this not the most gorgeous family you’ve ever seen? I adore them.

I adore sunrise sessions | Peoria, Illinois family photographer
Posted on October 10, 2010
While this one wasn’t quite a sunrise session, it was still an early morning session. And look at that light! Heaven. Stephanie & Nick, I had an absolute blast hanging out with you and your princess this morning
. She is a delight!
Just a reminder, Anastasia Minis mini sessions are being held Saturday October 16 and there is only one spot left ~ contact me if you’d like it to be yours!
yeah, he knows what’s up | Decatur, IL photographer

This little one…he knows what’s up. His mom and dad are so greatful to have him in their lives. His arrival was very quick and somewhat unexpected, and I think he’s been keeping them on their toes ever since
. Mary, it was so great to spend the morning with you and your precious little boy and catch up on your lives!
no use crying over lost sunglasses | Peoria IL family photographer
Posted on October 4, 2010
At least not when I get to hang out with a family like this. But why does it always happen that those $10 sunglasses you bought quickly just because you needed some will last you for.ev.er. And when you splurge on a nice pair, those are toast within months. I guess I learned my lesson
.
Anyway, on to happier things. I have got to give it up to these two big brothers. They did a fantastic job being patient and waiting for their little sister to be ready for some family time. I guess that’s a life lesson they’re learning early
.
***Just a reminder ~ the mini sessions scheduled for October 15 & 16 have only 3 spots left! ***
2 very exciting announcements | Peoria IL lifestyle photographer
Posted on October 2, 2010
Well, I definitely broke my streak of blogging every other day. It was only a matter of time…I hate to admit it, but I’m not one for consistency. I guess I have good reason for my absence though. The other day, I let my facebook fans in on a little secret…that 2 big announcements were being made to my current clients, and everyone else would soon be in the know.
The first big reveal is a doozy. Here is a clip of the newsletter that went out to my clients:
So there you have it. We’re off. Like I said…very mixed emotions surround this move. One one hand, we are thrilled beyond words to finally be near family. On the other hand, our hearts are heavy and we are heartbroken to leave the incredible friends we’ve made here. But no worries…we will be back
. I expect you all to continue booking sessions with me and referring me to all your coolest friends and family. You have all helped me from the very beginning and I couldn’t just turn away from that. Plus…Hailey needs a chance to see her little besties
.
Now…what’s the second big announcement you ask? No…I’m not pregnant. This is a dangerous game, telling people you’ve got news. Imagine for a second that you’re me. This past week has been filled with conversations just like this:
Stacy: Hey!
Innocent Friend: Hey!
Stacy: So, we’ve got some news for you…
Innocent Friend: eyes light up, smile forms, “Are you…?!?!?”
Stacy: No…we’re moving…far away ![]()
Innocent Friend: eyes dim, confused frown forms, “Oh…”
Innocent Friend: I thought you were going to say you were pregnant!
Yeah…a week filled with crushing conversations. Not cool. I’ll talk more about the move and how much we’re going to miss everyone and what’s in store for the future of our family and AMP later. Right now its all a little much to take in.
So…on to the second announcement! Another snipped from the newsletter:
Yep…another round of minis! I honestly thought this was not going to be possible this fall, but fate has made it work. Since my current clients had first dibs, there are already quite a few signed up and one date only has one spot left! So if you were thinking of booking a holiday mini session, now’s the time. You can email me at stacy@anastasiamariephotography.com for more details or to book your session. I hope to see many of you there!
Happy Fall!
