Freezing! {Central Illinois graduate photographer}
Posted on September 30, 2009
Monday evening I had the pleasure of getting to gether with Miss C here for her senior portrait session. Now, I know that earlier this week I blogged that I had my first official fall session, but that must have escaped my mind as I was getting dressed for Monday night’s shoot. But I wasn’t the only one. I think Miss C was in denial…so we both froze our tushies off for 2 hours…but I think she’ll agree that it was worth it. Not only was she trapsing around in pretty flowy spaghetti strap dresses, but she also has an aversion to shoes
and was barefoot 98% of the time. Miss C’s mom was the only one of us with a hint of sanity as she was bundled up nicely. So here she is…my first fall senior shoot. Enjoy your sneak peek C! I’ll be in touch shortly.

First Fall Shoot {Central Illinois family photographer}
Posted on September 29, 2009
I’m going to call this my first official fall session. Sunday I got to meet this lovely family and we had a fantastic time! It was a gorgeous day with just enough of a hint of fall to make me all giddy inside. I was just getting over a nasty case of the flu and starting to lose my voice, but I was better enough to get to this shoot, and I am so glad I did! For one, look at these two boys….I mean really. I promised mom a few on the sneak peek…but I could not narrow it down, so here’s a huge handful
And if you look really close, you can see the bunny ears starting to peek out. Don’t you just expect that with brothers? I love it
.

I have to say this is one lucky mamma. You can tell that her boys love her more than anything. Throughout the shoot they were picking her little bouquets from the fields…sigh…

Aaaaand since it is my first official fall shoot….we had to play some football! Only one necklace disaster out of the whole game….it was a blast
.

They’re here…Happy Holidays! {Central Illinois lifestyle photographer}
Posted on September 23, 2009
Phew…they’re finally here! Here is AMP’s 2009 lineup of holiday cards. I know I know, its only September. Believe me, it makes me cringe just a tad to post these this early, but if you want Christmas/holiday cards in time for the actual holiday, we need to start thinking about this now. So, I apologize….I might even have to follow up with a seasonally appropriate post just to make myself feel better
. So as soon as you browse through my cards go out and pick a pumpkin or an apple or light one of those yummy Yankee Candle Co. pumpkin candles!!
Now, if you’ve already had a session and would like to use any of the images for a holiday card, just shoot me an email and we’ll work it out. And if you haven’t booked a session yet…what are you waiting for?!
. Seriously though folks, my calendar is filling up before my eyes so let me know if you want to get those familly shoots in.
It’s probably also worth mention that, as an on-location, natural light photographer (aka: studio-less photographer) my availability for sessions will dwindle down as the days get shorter…and colder. We have a long-ish winter here in IL, so after the end of November probably we won’t be doing any sesssions until the first signs of spring. Now, I’ll shoot out in the cold as long as my clients are willing…I know I already have a December maternity shoot scheduled, but if you want to do a session, realistically you’ll need to book now or wait until spring.

Thanks guys! Now go light those candles!!
Hello Fall! {Central Illinois photographer}

In case you didn’t know…today is the first official day of fall!! My favorite season of all time. I’m slightly crazy when it comes to fall. There’s just something about it that gets me every time. The chill that arrives in the air, the smell of bonfires and smores, the colors, the clothes, and, hello…the best holiday ever….HALLOWEEN!!!
I, for one, am thrilled that today is the first day of fall…and to celebrate I thought I’d share with you a few signs of the season that are already starting to show up around the Krager household.

This tree sits right outside Hailey’s window and turns the most gorgeous shade of red you’ve ever seen! I love this tree…and its already starting to show us a peek of the beautiful fall colors!

Goodbye Little Oaks

Yesterday was a bittersweet day for this mommy. Sweet because it was my birthday! My 7th 21st birthday in fact
. Those who know me know I will forever be 21…we just count how many 21st birthdays I have
. It was a great day filled with fabulous naps and chick flicks…I had a blast!
Yesterday was tough for this mommy because it was our little baby’s last day in day care. For now at least. I had known this day was coming for a long time, and I put it off for 2 weeks after I officially resigned! She was only there 2 days a week, but we love this little day care. Its a 1 minute drive from our house, the teachers there are amazing! They care so much about our babies, and the place doesn’t smell like pee! Always a bonus! Hailey has learned so much from this day care…she’s a genious baby! During her super clingy phase when she wouldn’t go to anyone but me, she would gladly go to her teachers with a smile on her face. I love that place!
However, being that I did just quit my job to follow my dreams of being a photographer, we needed to take her out of daycare for those 2 days a week. So, with a pout on both of our faces, I picked her up yesterday and we said our goodbyes. Nobody will believe me, but she literally cried and tried to squirm out of my arms back into the building as we left. It was so sad! (and yes, daddy, I hope you are reading this and its tugging on your heart strings ;)).
They sent us home with a heart warming goodbye card for my little girl, made by all of her little toddler classmates. I cried when I saw it. We will miss you Little Oaks! Hopefully we’ll see you in the spring…even if for only one day a week!

Labor Day in NY {Central IL vacationing photographer}

Hailey’s grandma and grandpa live far too far away out in NY. So we don’t get to see them too often, but when we do, Hailey has a blast! The trip was full of exciting and new things for her, Niagara Falls, cute little baby goats, blueberries, corn on the cob…the list goes on! And we got to meet grandma and grandpa’s good friend Sean – who is a riot…and believes Hailey is nothing short of a genious…so she’s good in my book. So here’s a snapshot into our trip…we miss you already Grampy Chuck and Crazy Gramma Babbs!
~ they hate those names by the way…but what’s’ a daughter for right?

Sisters {Central IL child photographer}

It has been way too long since I’ve had the chance to photograph girls! Other than my own of course. It was a great pleasure to play with these two beauties Saturday morning. And on their daddy’s birthday no less! Little sister was the spitting image of her older sister, and mimicked every little thing she did. It was adorable
.
These are a little out of order…this one was captured at the end of the session. Little sister was tuckered out, its hard work being adorable!

Sigh, the light that morning was just delicious!

Here’s To Old Friends {Central IL lifestyle photographer}

If you’ve found your way here, welcome! This is the home of my new blog and I am so excited to unveil it! It is just the first step in a crazy overhaul that will be going on with Anastasia Marie Photography over the next few months. Thank you to everyone who follows me and supports me in this dream of mine, especially my husband
. I truly am so lucky to be able to follow it.
Last week my very good friend trekked out to this gorgeous field with me to help me out with a project. It was a great afternoon ~ I had a great time with an old friend who I don’t see nearly enough, and we got to explore an awesome location for my clients! So, here’s to old friends. Love you C!
